Ykä is owned by Paula Ruoho, Helsinki. Ykä has not been competing but Paula has been practising agility and obedience with him for many years. These two have an exceptionally close and good relationship, beautiful to watch :)

In the adult eye examination Ykä got the result PHTVL/PHPV degree 1 (out of 6), otherwise his eyes are fine. This disorder does not effect Ykä's eyesight. It means that some blood vessels from the time the eye was developing have stayed behind causing some little spotting in the back of the lens.

Ykä has had some skin problems and has been diagnosed with Idiopathic ulcerative dermatitis in 2008.
