SKYDIVE STAIR STEP "SINNA"
In Memoriam 4.3.1995 - 27.2.2009When I first considered taking a dog, I had very little knowledge about Border Collies, most of the things I knew were read from different dog books. After reading the books and watching the beautiful pictures in them I started thinking about Border Collies. I got to talk to Sinna's breeder Kaisa Honkonen, who told me everything I wanted to know and more. She also introduced me to agility and other dog hobbies. After a few weeks of waiting I got to know the little cutie that I gave the name Sinna. I have not once had to regret the decision to get a Border Collie.
Sinna was my first dog ever and everything was new to me. Things went exceptionally well with Sinna, she was quite a well behaving young girl and she did not do any typical Border Collie house decoration. It was very important to me to provide my girl with a lot of activities. I soon got involved in different kind of dog sports and had a training session on three or four nights a week; agility, obedience, search&rescue, flyball, water rescue...
Sinna was absolutely one of a kind, one of the most intelligent dogs I have ever met. She was often referred to as a person, not a dog. She mostly worked in order to have fun, not so much to please me, which made her very different from my other BCs. I had my share of problems with Sinna, mostly due to her dominant nature. Anyway, Sinna was a very easy dog to live with, especially when she got to do things her way.
Sinna liked being an entertainer and being a center of attention. Her favourite hobby of all was agility but she had fun no matter what we did.
Sinna changed my whole life and taught me a lot. Through her I have found the most important people in my life, my best friends. She also gave my favourite hobby that makes me so happy.
Sinna had the ability to sometimes make me feel so dumb, but she never was just a dog.
You will always be the first and the wisest, I'll never forget you. Missing you so much.
