FIN AgCh JK1 BH PPR1 LAETARE BOWLER JACK "SPACE"
DOB 12.2.2000, hips A-A, elbows 0-0, eyes OK as puppy and adult, CEA & TNS normalI travelled with my friend Päivi to pick up Space from Great Britain in April 2000 after a very short time of thinking. I saw an add about the litter at Laetare home page. I had visited the breeders John and Jacqui Barron in October 1999 and fallen in love with their dogs so it was not a very hard decision. We had a wonderful time at Jacqui and John's. We got to meet the family of Space, got to see an English Working Trial and a Border Collie show. Space came to Finland with us. At 7 weeks of age he got to travel in a train, subway and aeroplane, and he behaved very well!
Space is very self confident dog with a lot of energy. He loves everyone and thinks there is nothing evil in the world. Space is at the same time a tough and humble dog with an enormous will to please. Nothing makes him happier than making people happy and playing with them. Space is a very strong dog both physically and mentally. Space keeps his head together very well even in tough situations. My little Spaceman would probably bring me the moon from the sky if I asked him to. Space has been everything I could want in a dog and so much more, I will never believe how lucky I was to get a dog like him.
Space began his obedience career by getting a 1st prize result from his first 5 competitions moving straight up to class 3. He competes in the highest class in both obedience and agility. On April 9th 2006 he received the Finnish Agility Champion title. He has passed the behaviour test and got the title JK1 from his first tracking trial in September 2002. Space passed a herding test both in Finland and Germany. From 2007 Space has been concentrating in agility, competing with Marko. They were 5th in the Finnish Championships 2008 and have won several class 3 competitions during the last couple of years.
Space has been to a couple of comformation shows with 1st prize results. He is the sire of three Eyewitness litters and other litters outside our kennel, mostly abroad. See the page of Space's offspring.
